We currently have an opening for a Financial Administrator /Paraplanner /Trainee Paraplanner to join the team at our Tilehurst Office.
The Company
Village Financial Services Ltd are a successful and well established independently owned mortgage and protection firm based in the centre of Tilehurst, Reading. We are looking for a Financial Administrator/Paraplanner/Trainee Paraplanner to join our team in order to support 2 advisers with over 25 years industry experience between them.
Duties
Looking for a professional, outgoing individual who will provide administrative support to advisers. This will include:
- Answering the incoming telephone enquiries
 - Client contact via email and telephone
 - Complete mortgage affordability calculators
 - Carry out mortgage and protection product research using relevant sourcing software
 - Use various lender and insurer online platforms/portals to submit mortgage and insurance applications
 - Chasing outstanding client information/documentation
 - Ensure all work meets the required FCA compliance standards
 
Key candidate attributes
Previous experience in mortgage administration or in a financial services environment is preferable, however not essential as applications will be considered from applicants with administration experience.
- Strong organisation skills.
 - Excellent communication and customer services skills.
 - Good computer skills.
 - Able to demonstrate initiative and ability to time manage and prioritise mortgage and protection applications suitably.
 - Enjoy working within a team.
 
Hours – We anticipate the role to be around 20-24 hrs per week. Reasonably flexible but the successful candidate would need to work a minimum 4 days per week.
Salary – Negotiable depending on experience but would expect around £12-£15 per hour dependant on whether the candidate is qualified or semi-qualified as a paraplanner, has experience working in a mortgage, insurance or banking industry or is taken on as a trainee.
