About Us

Village Financial Services was set up in 1989 by then partners David Wood & David Sargeant to serve the mortgage customers of Village Properties Estate agents. Since then our business has grown with the addition of high street office premises in Tilehurst in 1994. David Wood remains as Managing Director working with Financial Consultant Craig Power and ably supported by Office Manager Michelle Helmore.

We provide insurance and mortgage broking services to the resident of Tilehurst and the surrounding areas, as well as having clients all over the country.

We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and building long term relationships with our customers.

About our staff

David Wood Managing Director – One of the founders of Village Financial Services, married with two children. Interests include football, rugby, golf, running and triathlon, alas I can only manage the last three these days and none of them very well!

Craig Power Financial Consultant – Joined Village Financial Services in 2003. Married with 2 children, my main passion is with the Tartan Army following my beloved Scotland wherever they play.

Michelle Helmore  Office Manager – Joined Village Financial Services on 2008. Married with two children (there’s a pattern building here!) I like yoga and long walks with the hubby and the dog.
